41-Year-Old Male Injured in Upper West Side Shooting

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Two unknown individuals opened fire in the vicinity of Amsterdam Avenue and West 89 Street, injuring a 41-year-old male in the buttocks and shoulder.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 19, at approximately 1:28 a.m. After firing multiple shots, the suspects fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on West 89 Street. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he is currently in stable condition.

The first suspect is described as a male, approximately 6’2″ tall, with a dark complexion, slim build, and blond short braids. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, light-colored hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a male, approximately 6′ tall, also with a dark complexion, but with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a green hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and white sneakers.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
