Early Morning Crash Leaves 69-Year-Old Lakewood Man Dead

FREEHOLD, NJ – A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 9 and Aldrich Road in Howell early this morning has left a 69-year-old male driver from Lakewood dead, as announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.

The Howell Police Department responded to the crash at approximately 2:53 a.m. The male driver, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was confirmed dead at the scene.

The incident is under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Howell Police Department. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
