Second Arrest Made in August Murder of Missing DC Man

WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have made a second arrest in connection with the homicide of a man who went missing in early August. Anthony Jordan, 42, was reported missing on August 8, 2023, after last being seen on August 4 in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, Southeast. The investigation revealed that Mr. Jordan was fatally stabbed.

On September 19, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested an adult male from Southeast, DC. He was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed—Felony Murder and Second Degree Murder while Armed.

Further investigation led to a second arrest on September 22. Nichelle Thomas, 35, also of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed – Felony Murder, Accessory after the Fact – Second Degree Murder while Armed, and Obstructing Justice “Harassment.”

Both arrests are part of an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Metropolitan Police at (202) 727-9099. A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
