MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VA – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported breaking and entering incident on Crozier Court on Sunday.

Upon their arrival, a suspect fled the scene, leading to a pursuit that concluded near Eastern Montgomery High School.

The suspect, described only as a white male, subsequently produced a handgun and took his own life. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There’s no evidence suggesting officers fired at the individual. The man’s remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification.
