NYPD Continues Search for Gunman in June Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – A 19-year-old man was shot in the lower back and left leg on Cedar Street near Broad Street by an unidentified male, who then fled the scene on foot.

According to police reports, the assault occurred on Saturday, June 3, at approximately 6:38 PM. The New York City Police Department is now asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual involved. After displaying a firearm and shooting the victim, the individual escaped, going westbound on Cedar Street.

The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Richmond University Medical Center, where he is currently in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

The NYPD encourages anyone with information related to this incident to come forward.
