Woman Attacked on NYC N Train Before Good Samaritan Intervened

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying an individual in connection to a robbery and assault incident at the 14th – Union Square subway station.

The incident occurred on Sunday, around 03:25 am.

A 24-year-old female was waiting for a northbound “N” train when an unidentified male approached and assaulted her.

The assailant fled with the victim’s cellphone after a bystander intervened. The victim received medical treatment at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, around 40 years old, 6’0” tall, weighing 160lbs, with short black hair. He was last seen in dark clothing.
