Lancaster Man Fired Two Shots at Cops Before Barricading Himself in House

LANCASTER, PA – On Monday, at 11:19 pm, the East Lampeter Township Police Department responded to a disturbance on the 100 block of Crest Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers were confronted by a male who fired two shots before retreating into a residence.

Backup was called, including units from the PA State Police, the West Lampeter Township Police Department, and the Lancaster County SERT.

After establishing communication, the man, identified as Scott Richard Golicher, 53, surrendered at 12:53 am without further incident.

Golicher faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault and Strangulation. He was denied bail and is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison. The investigation remains ongoing.
