Two Arrested in Connection with Paterson Stabbing

PATERSON, NJ- On Monday, the Paterson Police Department, in collaboration with Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, announced the arrest of Bryan Canales-Arias, 29, and Ernesto Canales-Arias, 23, both from Paterson.

The arrests relate to a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of the same day at the intersection of Main Street and Market Street.

Upon responding to the scene at approximately 1:25 a.m., officers found a 50-year-old male resident of Paterson with multiple non-fatal stab wounds.

He was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Investigations led to the arrest of both Bryan and Ernesto Canales-Arias near the crime scene.

Both individuals face multiple charges, including Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault. The case is ongoing, and further updates will be provided by the Paterson Police Department.
