SCOTLAND NECK, NC – An incident occurred at the Scotland Neck Police Department around 9:50 a.m.
Captain Parker of the Scotland Neck Police reported a male individual with a firearm at the department.
The individual took his own life. No shots were fired by the police, and no officers sustained injuries.
The family of the deceased has been informed.
The Scotland Neck Police Department expressed gratitude to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and SNPD Chaplain Holiday.
