Man Critically Injured In D.C. Stabbing, Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has confirmed the apprehension of a male suspect following a stabbing that took place in Southeast D.C. on Tuesday afternoon.

At about 1:27 p.m., officers arrived at the 1200 block of Good Hope Road, responding to distress calls regarding a man suffering from stab injuries.

Upon arrival, the victim was taken to a local hospital to undergo treatment for severe injuries inflicted during the assault. The assailant fled post-assault but was later captured by the law enforcement officers.

The authorities have identified the arrested individual as 29-year-old Joshua Dorsey, a resident of Northwest, D.C. He is now formally charged with Assault with Intent to Kill.
