Wheelchair-bound woman rescued after being trapped on Harrison Hills trail

ALLEGHENY COUNT, PA — Patrol Officer Don Barry of the ACPD coordinated with County 9-1-1 to locate and rescue a woman in a wheelchair who became trapped with her teenage daughter and dog along a trail in Harrison Hills Park.

The incident occurred just after 6 pm on Wednesday evening. County 9-1-1 contacted ACPD for assistance, leading to Officer Barry’s quick response. He successfully coordinated with 9-1-1 to determine the woman’s location and ensured that she and her family were safely evacuated from the area before nightfall.
