TUCSON, AZ — Robert Cameron Foust, 39, was sentenced to an additional five years in federal prison for assaulting another inmate with a homemade knife at a Federal Correctional Center in Tucson.

United States District Judge Scott H. Rash issued the sentence last week, specifying that Foust’s new term will run consecutively to his existing sentence. Foust previously pleaded guilty to Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

The incident occurred on October 18, 2018, when Foust, already serving a 185-month sentence for other crimes, attacked another inmate, causing more than 20 non-life-threatening wounds. Foust later admitted to authorities that he would have killed the victim had he resisted. He also acknowledged that he crafted the five-inch knife used in the attack.
