Three Shot, One Dead in Brooklyn Housing Project

NEW YORK, NY – Three men were shot in the courtyard of 987 Myrtle Avenue on Saturday afternoon; one victim has died while the other two are in stable condition.

The incident happened at the Sumner Houses, NYCHA project in Bedford Stuyvesant.

Police responded to multiple 911 calls at approximately 5:12 p.m., finding a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head, a 32-year-old male with a wound to the lower back, and another 28-year-old male with a wound to the stomach. All three victims were transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County. The 28-year-old male with the head wound was pronounced deceased. The other two victims are listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, and the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
