Four Shot Sunday Morning in Jersey City, Victims Not Cooperating with Police Investigation

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Early morning gunfire at 264 Culver Avenue led to several people sustaining injuries, according to local authorities. Police arrived at the scene around 2:35 a.m. and discovered a 20-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to her back leg and lower back.

THe incident happened when a car overturned on Culver Avenue.

Emergency personnel quickly administered first aid and transported the woman to a local hospital, where she remains in stable condition. Other individuals with gunshot wounds also received medical attention, arriving at local hospitals in private vehicles. These include a 33-year-old man with an injury to his upper back, a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right hip, a 19-year-old male with a wound to his right foot, and a 24-year-old male who suffered injuries to his left thigh and right hand after being involved in a car accident while reportedly fleeing the incident on Culver Avenue.

Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, a city spokeswoman, noted that the victims and those who transported them to the hospital have not been cooperative in the ongoing investigation.
