Assault in Parkesburg Leads to Arrest

PARKESBURG, PA – On Thursday, at around 6:16 pm, police officers were called to the 100 block of West First Avenue after reports of an assault.

The victim, found with facial and head injuries, had been attacked by Justin Berwanger.

Before police arrived, Berwanger had left the scene. The injured individual was taken to a nearby hospital for medical assessment.

The subsequent day, an arrest warrant for Berwanger was issued. He was found in the Borough on Friday, and taken to Central Booking for further proceedings.

He now faces two counts of Simple Assault under domestic violence charges.
