One Killed in Dover Township Motorcycle Crash

DOVER TOWNSHIP, PA – The Northern York County Regional Police Department is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of Davidsburg Rd. and W. Canal Rd. on Tuesday, at 6:11 AM.

The crash involved a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a 63-year-old male from Dover, PA.

The Volkswagen, driven by a 25-year-old male from Carlisle, PA, was heading northbound on Davidsburg Rd. and made a left turn to head westbound on W. Canal Rd., directly into the path of the southbound motorcycle.

Despite on-site lifesaving efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased after being transported to York Hospital.
