Yonkers Burglar Was Career Criminal with 28 Arrests, 13 Convictions

YONKERS, NY – Ian Windley, 30, with a history of 28 arrests and 13 convictions over the past 12 years, was arrested by the Yonkers Police Department’s Warrant Squad on charges related to attempted thefts.

Windley, already on parole until 2028 for a previous Burglary in Hastings-on-Hudson, was recognized in multiple security camera videos posted on the “Neighbors” platform by RING. These videos captured a male attempting to access parked vehicles in the northern section of the 4th Precinct. Windley was charged with three counts of Attempted Grand Larceny 3.

Further investigation revealed additional surveillance footage of Windley entering a residence.

As a result, an additional charge of Criminal Trespass 2 was leveled against him. He remains in custody and awaits upcoming court proceedings.
