Paterson Shooting Claims Life of 22-Year-Old Woman

PATERSON, NJ – Late in the evening on Monday, at around 9:22 p.m., gunshots were heard by a Paterson Police Officer near Van Houten Street and Cianci Street.

Additional units arrived at the scene and discovered Mary Taylor, a 22-year-old resident of Paterson, suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

The case is currently under investigation.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and Paterson Police Detective Bureau are seeking tips and information from the public regarding this incident.
