Suspect Sought in Failed Robbery at Midtown Check Cashing Business

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Saturday, September 9, at approximately 7:30 am, an unidentified male attempted to rob a cash-checking clerk at 128 East 29th Street.

The suspect, wielding a simulated weapon and a note demanding money, approached a 30-year-old female employee.

Despite his threatening demeanor and demands, the male individual was unable to acquire any money from the establishment. He then fled on foot in the direction of East 28th Street, leaving the employee unharmed and no reported injuries from the incident.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants. Media depicting the individual are now circulated by the NYPD.
