8-Year-Old Boy Victim of Fatal Hit and Run in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, VA – A hit-and-run incident resulted in the death of an 8-year-old boy on Tuesday, at approximately 4:15 p.m., prompting a thorough investigation by the Chesapeake Police Crash Investigation Team and detectives.

The accident took place in the 1700 block of Battlefield Blvd. S, and the suspect vehicle absconded before the police’s arrival.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the severely injured child, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital. The boy succumbed to his injuries. The ongoing investigation actively seeks information regarding the hit-and-run incident.
