MCKEAN COUNTY, PA – After a hearing at the McKean County Courthouse, Phillip Haun, Jr. from Eldred received a sentence by visiting Judge Robert L. Boyer for crimes against a minor.

HAUN was previously convicted by a jury in August on charges that included endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.

Witnesses described how Haun threatened a child using firearms.

The Pennsylvania State Police-Lewis Run barracks later executed a search warrant, resulting in the discovery of the firearms at HAUN’s residence.

Considering the use of deadly weapons, the court applied an enhancement in sentencing. Haun was sentenced to state prison for 27 to 72 months with terms including mental health treatment and no contact with the victim.
