One Charged, One At Large in Murder of ‘Missing’ Teen

COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus Police have charged two suspects in the murder of Imperial Stewart, a 17-year-old boy from Columbus, whose disappearance was reported on September 21.

Michael Bowles, 20, has been charged with murder and is currently at large with an active arrest warrant against his name. Russell Hardgrove-Madison, 16, faces charges of murder, robbery, and obstructing justice.

Homicide detectives took over the case following suspicions of foul play in Stewart’s disappearance.

As a result of a tip received on Tuesday, around 6:19 p.m., officers discovered a body in a wooded area located in the 2400 block of Sunbury Rd. Presently, the identity of the body is pending confirmation from the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.

Four additional individuals have been charged in relation to this investigation. Columbus Police are seeking information related to this case and have provided a contact number for the Homicide Unit: 614-645-4730.
