Man Found Shot in Newark’s South Ward

NEWARK, NJ – A man was discovered with a non-fatal gunshot wound in Newark’s South Ward, prompting an investigation into the incident.

The unidentified man was found in the vicinity of 263 Clinton Place around midnight and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A weapon was recovered at the scene and is now part of the ongoing investigation.

While initial findings hint that the gunshot wound may have been self-inflicted, detectives are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

No other injuries or involved parties have been reported in connection with this incident. The police are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiry.
