Man Shot and Killed Near Oxon Hill High School Forcing Football Game Postponement

OXON HILL, MD- A man was fatally shot in the 6800 block of Haven Avenue last Friday evening, close to Oxon Hill High School, leading to a brief school lockdown and the postponement of a football game, Prince George’s County officials reported.

Upon arrival, Prince George’s County Police found the man in a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite attempts at life-saving measures and CPR by the officers, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident has left local residents, like Yesly Romero, shaken and fearful.

The investigation into the shooting continues, with the police cordoning off Haven Avenue for further examination.
