Police Investigating Shooting in Severn

SEVERN, MD – On the night of October 8, 2023, at around 9:50 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Reece Road in Severn following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered multiple expended shell casings but did not come across any immediate victims.

Shortly after, at approximately 10:05 p.m., a 20-year-old male entered the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center presenting non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.

The man reported being shot near the intersection of Reece Road and Pioneer Drive in Severn.

Despite their efforts, officers and detectives on the scene couldn’t identify any suspects. Detectives from the Western District have now taken up the case and are urging individuals with any knowledge about the incident to get in touch at 410-222-6155.
