Bank Robbery Reported in Gambrills; Police Seek Suspect

GAMBRILLS, MD — The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred on October 10, 2023, at the M&T Bank on 2637 Brandermill Boulevard.

Around 9:50 a.m., officers rushed to the scene following a robbery report. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect had approached a teller with a note. Without displaying any weapon, the suspect successfully coerced the teller into handing over an undisclosed sum of money. After acquiring the cash, the individual exited the bank and vanished before officers arrived.

The police have described the suspect as a black male of heavy build, sporting a mixed black and gray beard. At the time of the incident, he was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, a white facemask, dark hat, sunglasses, and gloves.

Authorities conducted an extensive search in the vicinity but have yet to apprehend the suspect. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is urging anyone with information related to the robbery to come forward.
