Chesapeake Cold Case: Authorities Seek Leads in 2016 Homicide

CHESAPEAKE – The Chesapeake Police Department is shining a renewed spotlight on an unsolved homicide case from 2016, urging the community to help provide any crucial leads.

The victim, 19-year-old Erion Williams of Chesapeake, was found critically injured from gunshot wounds in the early hours of Saturday, October 1, 2016. Officers had responded to reports of a gunshot victim on the 2000 Block of Timber Lane in the South Norfolk area of the city shortly after 4 a.m. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to a nearby hospital, Williams did not survive.

The tragic incident, which left a young life cut short, remains an open case. The Chesapeake Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,500 for information that leads to an arrest in connection to this case.
