Man Fatally Shot at Northeast Charlotte Gas Station

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A fatal shooting unfolded at a 7-Eleven gas station on Pavilion Boulevard, just off University City Boulevard, last Tuesday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).

The man, who has not been identified, was shot multiple times outside of the gas station and was declared dead at the scene.

The shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. while the gas station was still operational and situated in a bustling area, approximately a mile from UNC Charlotte’s campus. The CMPD has not yet apprehended a suspect in connection with the shooting.

Major Ryan Jackson of the CMPD mentioned, “They’re working through all those details, trying to develop the suspects.” The police are currently processing surveillance videos and additional information to identify potential suspects. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.

This incident marks the second fatal shooting at a Charlotte gas station within approximately three weeks. A separate incident in September at a Shell gas station on Mallard Creek Road, less than 10 minutes away from the 7-Eleven, also remains unsolved with no arrests made.
