Teenager Critically Injured in Northeast Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot multiple times near 1500 Rosetree Court, northeast Charlotte, in the early hours of Tuesday.

Emergency personnel and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) responded to the shooting around 1 a.m., finding the teenager with life-threatening injuries.

The boy was transported to Atrium Health-Main to receive urgent medical attention.

The CMPD and Medic have not released further details about his current condition.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and no suspect has been identified at this time.
