Two Men Indicted in Fatal Henry Hudson Parkway Hit-and-Run

MANHATTAN, NY – Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. announced the indictment of Cary Brown, 29, and Marcos Vega-Pagan, 24, in connection with a fatal hit-and-run on the Henry Hudson Parkway.

The incident resulted in the death of Joel Quintana, 42, a father of six.

Both defendants face multiple charges, including Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Incident Without Reporting.

On August 3, around 10:50 p.m., the two were allegedly racing their cars on the Henry Hudson Parkway when Vega-Pagan’s BMW struck Mr. Quintana, who was on his motorcycle. Brown subsequently ran over Mr. Quintana, and both fled the scene.

Vega-Pagan is also accused of contacting State Farm the next day with a false claim regarding the damage to his vehicle.
