Rockland County District Attorney Shows Support for Israel at Flag-Raising Ceremonies

In a symbolic display of solidarity, District Attorney Tom Walsh and his staff participated in Israeli flag-raising ceremonies in both the Town of Clarkstown and the Town of Ramapo yesterday. These events come in the wake of a recent attack on Israel by Hamas, which has drawn international condemnation.

“The barbaric terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel has left the world shocked and angered,” said Walsh, reiterating his support for the people of Israel.

The ceremonies were organized to show support for Israel during these tumultuous times. Attending such events signifies a strong community and governmental backing for the nation, which is currently dealing with the aftermath of a devastating terrorist attack.

According to the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, the flag-raising ceremonies serve as a public statement against terrorism and an endorsement of peace and international cooperation. “We stand with and support the people of Israel,” the office declared on their Facebook page.
