Subway Groper Sought in the Bronx

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is soliciting the public’s help in locating a suspect connected to a forcible touching incident that recently took place in the Bronx. The event occurred within the 47 Precinct, specifically in the Olinville area.

According to police reports, the incident happened on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at around 7:30 p.m. A 31-year-old woman was walking when an unknown male individual approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks. Following the act, the individual fled on foot in an unknown direction. Fortunately, no injuries were reported related to this incident.

The NYPD has released a description of the suspect to aid in his identification. He is described as a male, approximately 5’7″ tall and weighing around 160 pounds. He has a dark complexion and a thin build. “The individual was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a gray baseball hat, a black shirt, a green undershirt, tan pants, and white sneakers,” said a spokesperson for the NYPD.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information related to this case to come forward. The public can submit their tips by calling the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
