Utica Police Thwart Potential Shooting Incident

UTICA, NY – On Wednesday, at approximately 6:10 PM, an incident unfolded as Utica Police Investigators from the GIVE Unit attempted a vehicle stop on South St near Genesee St.

The vehicle fled, prompting a pursuit that was later aborted due to safety concerns.

The vehicle was subsequently located on the 1100 block of St. Vincent St.

A confrontation ensued, involving a handgun and a struggle between officers and a male suspect, identified as Robert Bradley, 23, of Utica.

Bradley was eventually apprehended and charged with multiple offenses, including weapon and narcotics possession, after a significant quantity of narcotics was found upon his arrest.
