Charges Filed Against Pitcairn Man in Overnight Stabbing

Allegheny County Police have filed multiple charges against 29-year-old John Gojkovich of Pitcairn, following an overnight stabbing incident. The event unfolded late last night when County 9-1-1 was alerted at approximately 11:17 p.m. to a stabbing in the 400 block of 2nd Street in Pitcairn.

Upon arrival, local Pitcairn Police discovered an adult male who had been stabbed multiple times in a nearby alley. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.

“County 9-1-1 was notified of a stabbing in the 400 block of 2nd Street in Pitcairn. Pitcairn Police found an adult male victim stabbed multiple times in a nearby alley,” stated the Allegheny County Police Department in a press release.

Shortly after the initial discovery, Pitcairn Police called in the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit to assist in the investigation. Detectives took over the case and initiated a series of interviews with witnesses.

Based on the gathered evidence and witness statements, authorities determined that Gojkovich was the individual responsible for the stabbing. He was taken into custody and is also currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital, where his condition is reported as stable. Gojkovich faces multiple charges including attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
