21-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC — A shooting in Northeast D.C. claimed the life of a 21-year-old man on Thursday afternoon. Officers from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch are currently investigating the incident.

Officers responded to the intersection of 14th and Downing Street at around 1:34 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. On arrival, they found Carlos Haythe suffering from gunshot wounds.

Haythe was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
