Man Shot and Killed Overnight in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A report from the Winston-Salem Police Department states that a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the 800 block of East Devonshire Street around 1:15 a.m. following reports of a shooting.

Upon their arrival, they found Jassy Vargas Salinas, a 25-year-old from Germanton, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Immediate life-saving measures were initiated by both officers and emergency medical personnel. Salinas succumbed to his injuries.

The Winston-Salem Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has taken charge of the case.
