BROOKLYN, NY – A Brooklyn couple was wounded in a shooting inside their upscale apartment building early Monday morning, and authorities suspect the assailant is the woman’s former partner. The incident took place around 8 a.m. in a 16-story building called “The Arch,” located on President Street near Rogers Avenue in the Crown Heights area, according to police officials.

Security footage from the residential tower, which was built just last year, shows the suspect dressed in a yellow hoodie and yellow pants fleeing the scene after the attack. Despite the video evidence, the New York Police Department has yet to release a formal description of the suspect, and no arrests had been made as of late Monday afternoon.

The 27-year-old woman and her 31-year-old boyfriend were ambushed by a gunman inside the building. Police reports state that the woman was shot in the left foot, while her partner suffered gunshot wounds to his right foot and left thigh. Both victims were transported to Kings County Hospital Center and are in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to review the surveillance video and gather additional evidence. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the authorities.
