Cumberland Resident Charged for Halloween Decoration Theft

CUMBERLAND, MD – Annika Nychole McAleer, an 18-year-old resident of Cumberland, was served with a criminal summons by the Cumberland Police Department last Sunday.

The summons relates to a theft incident that took place on Monday, October 2, around 11:00 PM.

Halloween decorations were reported stolen from a residence on the 1000 block of Frederick Street.

McAleer was subsequently identified as one of the suspects. After a thorough investigation, the police filed charges against her at the District Court of Allegany County.

Having signed for her copy of the summons, McAleer was released and is currently awaiting trial.
