Man Injured in Shooting Near McGuire Veterans Hospital, Investigation Underway

RICHMOND, VA — A man was injured during a shooting incident near McGuire Veterans Hospital, prompting an active investigation by the Richmond Police Department.

The incident took place on Saturday night at 1437 Hopkins Road, where officers responded to the scene at 10:06 p.m. after receiving reports of the shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Immediate medical response ensured the victim received necessary care and attention following the violent incident.

At this stage, no information regarding a potential suspect has been released by the Richmond Police Department.
