Anne Arundel Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Capital One Bank in Gambrills

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the parking lot of the Capital One Bank on Brandermill Boulevard in Gambrills. The incident unfolded around 11:00 a.m. on October 17, 2023.

According to the police department’s Facebook announcement, a 71-year-old male victim “had withdrawn money from inside the bank” and was placing it in his vehicle when he was approached by an unidentified male. The suspect, who was wearing all-black attire, “pointed a gun at him and demanded the victim’s money and personal property.” Upon compliance, the suspect left the scene, entering the passenger side of “a maroon Dodge Charger/Challenger with tinted windows and a temp tag.”

Authorities are seeking public assistance to further their investigation. The Western District Detectives are leading the case and request anyone with pertinent information to contact them at 410-222-6155.
