Arrest Made in Connection with Queens Assault; NYPD Seeks Additional Suspect

New York City Police have arrested a 19-year-old Brooklyn man in connection to a shooting incident that occurred in Queens. Pedro Ramos, of 254 Stockholm Street, was arrested on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 12:30 p.m., within the confines of the 105th Precinct. Ramos is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, attempted assault, assault, criminal facilitation, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, and reckless endangerment.

The initial incident took place on Monday, October 2, 2023, around 9:30 a.m. According to police reports, the victim, a 24-year-old male, “got into a verbal dispute with [an] unknown individual” near 147-03 Guy R Brewer Blvd. During the altercation, the unknown individual shot the victim in the left jaw. The assailant then fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on 146th Terrace. The victim was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital and has since been released.

Despite Ramos’s arrest, the NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying another individual connected with the assault, as depicted in the attached media. The authorities imply that additional suspects may be involved, stating that the investigation “remains ongoing.”
