NYC Police Seek Suspect After Shots Fired Near East 229th Street

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking to the public for assistance in locating an individual in connection to an attempted assault.

The reported incident took place on Sunday, October 8, at around 8:05 a.m. near East 229th Street and White Plains Road.

Following a verbal altercation, the unidentified individual brandished a firearm, firing multiple shots at a male victim.

The individual then fled south on White Plains Road toward East 227 Street. No injuries resulted from the incident.

The perpetrator is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a black backpack.
