Caught on Video: Child Struck by Vehicle Running Stop Sign in North Bergen

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – A child crossing the street in North Bergen was struck by a car that failed to yield to him while he was in the crosswalk at a stop sign.

After the incident, the car fled the scene.

The North Bergen Police Department is actively investigating a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday, October 17, at 8:16 a.m.

The incident involved a gray Ford Explorer, model year between 2020 and 2024, with tinted windows, a tinted windshield, and New Jersey license plates. The victim of the accident is an 11-year-old boy.

Police are also looking to identify a female witness seen wearing black attire and pushing a baby carriage at the time of the incident.
