Knife Attack Suspects Sought in the Bronx Bike Robbery

NEW YORK, NY – Police in the Bronx say two suspects slashed a male victim while robbing his bicycle.

The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals involved in an attempted robbery and assault. According to an official NYPD press release, the incident occurred on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at approximately 3:25 p.m.

The location was near East 170th Street and Grand Concourse.

The 46-year-old male victim was approached by two unknown males. One of the suspects attempted to forcibly take the victim’s bike while the other displayed a knife, slashing the victim’s hand. The assailants then fled on foot, heading southbound on Grand Concourse. The victim suffered a laceration to his finger as a result of the encounter.

The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black jacket, grey sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. The second suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
