Pennsylvania “Bullhorn Lady” Mom Gets Four Years for Capitol Breach

In a recent court ruling, Pennsylvania mother of eight, Rachel Marie Powell, known for her involvement in the January 6 Capitol attack, has been sentenced to 57 months in prison. The 43-year-old, dubbed as the “Bullhorn Lady,” was convicted on all nine charges levied against her in a May bench trial presided over by Senior U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth.

The charges included interference with a law enforcement officer during civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, destruction of government property, and other related misdemeanors associated with the breach of the Capitol.

Powell received a sentence of 4.75 years in prison, in addition to three years of supervised release, a fine of $5,000, and a restitution payment of $2,753.

She was dubbed the “Bullhorn Lady” after she broke a window with a pry bar and shouted inside the U.S. Capitol with a bullhorn in FBI documents.
