Virginia Teen Charged for Drug-Induced Attack Against Mother and Father

In a tragic family disturbance early Monday morning, 19-year-old Juan Pina-Ortiz of Virginia was arrested on accusations of fatally assaulting his father and attacking his mother, in what authorities suspect was a drug-induced rage.

Law enforcement responded to a domestic dispute call at the Ortiz residence before 1:30 a.m., with the caller reporting property damage and suspecting Ortiz to be under the influence of narcotics, as per an incident report obtained by Law&Crime on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered an alarming scene where Ortiz was found unclothed and in the act of assaulting a 51-year-old male, later identified as his father, Juan Pina-Recendiz.
