Allegany County Police Blotter: Here’s What’s Happening

ALLEGANY COUNTY, MD – The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Maryland State Police – Barrack C, has reported several arrests as part of their initiative to address active warrants.

On Friday, October 13, Ricky Allen Bennett, 51, of Cumberland, was arrested on charges that include first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

He remains in custody at the Allegany County Detention Center. Amanda Renee Swauger, 34, and Amanda Marie Luckett, 42, both from Cumberland, were also apprehended on multiple charges.

On Monday, a series of arrests took place. These include Terri Lynn Shroyer, 56, John Earl Raley, 66, Jaclyn Valarie Riley, 31, Joseph Adam Staples, 37, Chelsey Brooke Shroyer, 26, and Charles Devon Walker, 29. Each individual was apprehended on different charges, with Walker being detained for charges stemming from Ohio.

Further investigations and actions continue in Allegany County, with the combined forces of the Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police.
