Home Invaders Shoot Man While Robbing His 62nd Avenue Apartment

NEW YORK, NY – A group of six unidentified people broke into a multi-dwelling building near Main Street and 62nd Avenue, robbing an apartment and shooting a 31-year-old man in a second apartment before fleeing the scene.

On Wednesday, October 18, at about 5:30 a.m., the group gained entry to the building. They forcibly entered one apartment, taking $800 in cash. Upon breaking a window of a second apartment, one of the intruders encountered a 31-year-old male resident and another man.

During the confrontation, the intruder discharged a firearm, striking the resident in the chest and arm.

The six individuals fled the area in a dark-colored SUV, going in an unknown direction. Emergency medical services transported the gunshot victim to Booth Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The police are actively investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
