Man Shot in Queens Home Invasion While Fighting Off Intruders

QUEENS, NY – An early morning home invasion has left one man in critical condition. At around 5:40 a.m., a group of men forcefully entered a residence on 62nd Avenue.

Some suspects attempted entry through an unlocked window on the ground floor, while others broke a window to gain access.

One tenant tried to resist the intruders and was subsequently shot in the chest and arm by one of the suspects. The victim is now receiving medical care at a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The suspects managed to steal $800 and an Apple iPad before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored sedan. Based on tenant speculation, the criminals might have been targeting a Range Rover parked nearby.
