Moped Bandit Snatches $10,000 Necklace in the Bronx

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department has requested the public’s help in identifying a moped rider connected to a robbery.

On Tuesday, September 19, around 5:13 pm, a 35-year-old male was walking at the junction of East 188 Street and Grand Concourse.

An unknown person on a moped approached him, forcefully removing a necklace valued at $9,000 from the victim’s neck.

The thief also threatened the victim with potential violence if pursued.

The necklace thief is described as a male with a medium complexion, last seen in a blue baseball hat, a blue jacket bearing the words NEW YORK, and white pants marked with blue stripes.
